Keeping Sabbath to GET Saved?

Ever since I started to keep the seventh day Sabbath of the Creator God years ago, Christians have declared that I am keeping the Sabbath to get saved. This is my answer to that claim.

First and foremost, long ago we know that the people of God promised to keep the Law of God the day Moses went up to receive the Law written in stone. No, this doesn't mean it was the first time the law was every written, but it is the first time it was written in stone. In fact, Psalms 103:20 says, "Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word." In other words, long before mankind was created the law was already the law of the land in the city of New Jerusalem. Truth is, if it wasn't already in Heaven, how I ask could Satan have sinned if sin was not yet defined. 1 John 3:4 clearly says that, "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."

As we know the people of God failed to keep the Covenant they made with the Lord that day long ago and so a New Covenant was needed. God would still do as He said in 2 Chronicles 7:14 which was, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." But since mankind proved they could not keep His law, He blessed them with a way to help them keep it.

2 Corinthians 3:3 says, "Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart." And yes, that is why Jesus said in John 14:21, "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him." And He most assuredly manifested Himself to everyone that 'truly' calls Him Lord as they all kept His law throughout history and to this day.

As we see, Jesus said those that follow Him "hath His commandments," because as Paul put it, the Lord wrote His law on our hearts to make us walking epistles of Christ. In other words, if you accept what Jesus did on the cross as a way to forgive all the transgressions you made against the law throughout your life, then the Holy Spirit will enter into your heart and write the law of God therein. This is why Jesus said in Matthew 7:15-16, "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.  Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?"

The Lord loves you and doesn't want you to be lured away from Him and so He told us to check the fruits of the leaders in the church. The false prophets are as I illustrated in my "Many False Prophets" video of last June. They are all the Sunday keeping pastors who do not have the fruit Jesus speaks of here. If they teach all must keep the Roman Sunday Sabbath holy, then they prove beyond a doubt that the Holy Spirit is not in them. If He was, they would have the power to keep holy the seventh day Sabbath because as promised it would have been written on their hearts and Christ would have manifested Himself to them. And so you cannot gain truth from these wolves any more than you can pick a grape from a thorn bush or a fig from a thistle weed. Yes, all of these pastors claim to love, know and even teach Jesus as Lord; but as prophesied, they preach another Jesus (See 2 Corinthians 11:4) because 1 John 2:4 clearly says, "He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." And so who are you going to believe? The lying pastor, or the God of truth?

If you stay in such a church you are allowing the blind pastor to lead you into the pits of hell. But if you truly accept Jesus as Lord and allow His Holy Spirit to enter into your heart, He will manifest His power deep within you to keep His law so as to gain Heaven. For it is also penned in Revelation 22:14, "Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."

That city is New Jerusalem, or Heaven as most call it. And so, to answer the claim that I keep the law of God to get saved, no. I do not keep the law to get saved. I keep it because I am saved.

  1. There are some that wonder how the Jews of the Gospel were somehow less intelligent than we are – legalism, rituals, faith vs works, etc.. But we are no better. I think complacency in this case is interchangable with becoming lukewarm. It begins very subtlely. Maybe we are trying to squeeze in a task or activity while we watch the clock Friday evening. I think that's when the pleasure of the day begins to leave and some see through the lens of it being a burden or law we have to keep "to be saved." We have to guard the borders of the Sabbath, against complacency. Prepare on Friday and have an idea of what we want to do in the Lord to enjoy the 7th day. Lukewarmness slithers in quietly and may ever so slightly shift our perception as to how and why we keep the Lord's Day. I know firsthand. Guard the borders….And always call the Sabbath a delight.

  2. I grew up believing Sunday was God's day. That said, do these Christians GET saved by not murdering and not stealing?

They sure love to pick on God's Sabbath, yet they "keep" Sunday; but of course that's all right because it's the special "under grace" Resurrection day which in their minds supersedes the Sabbath so it's their day even though they say that Jesus is their rest and they worship Him every day.  The other nine commandments are okay with them, because they would never modify them to allow committing one murder or stealing one item, yet it's totally sensible for them to change the day that God said is His.

One of their favorite Bible verses is Hebrews 13:8 – "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever"; yet He said He is Lord of the Sabbath (He still is and He rested on it even in death; nothing's changed!). And they say we should follow Jesus. And these are the same folks who base Sunday "holiness" on 1 Corinthians 16:2 ("Upon the first day of the week…"). They're like a dog chasing its tail. Boggles my mind.

    1. Jesus never rested. He was the rest. In this death on the Sabbath he went to Hell and unlocked it. That's called work. There is nothing in the Bible that showed he rested from work. The Seventh Day is to be honored, because on that day, God rested from his work of creating all things in six days. But, God cant rest. As the nature of fire is to burn, it is the nature of God to create. So, Saturday or Sunday has no power over man, because they were made for man. Our delemma is being religious to impress the masses to appear rigtheous. God cannot be bound by time, therefore our rest is physical and spiritual within time or we will die both naturally and spritually. If one thinks that resting on the Sabbath while his ox is suffering is godly, he is out of the will of God and would be considered vile. So, what part of Saturday or Sunday would cause one to be in favor with God, if he sees his nieghbor suffering and dont help him?

      1. First and foremost, you did not share a single Bible verse to back anything you just said. However, you did blasheme by calling the Lord they God a liar. For it is written in Genesis 2:2 that “on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.” And as for your claim that keeping God’s law is an attempt to LOOK holy or righteous, I just saw the clothing you wear on your (deleted) website. Wearing Pagan clothing is how Pagan’s “APPEAR” holy. But not a single man on earth can keep God’s law to BECOME holy. In fact, I just made a video proving (using Scripture) that what you just said is a lie. It’s titled “Keeping Sabbath to GET Saved?”

The reason I call you a liar instead of calling out your church leaders who taught you these lies is because YOU CLAIM to be a leader which means you are also one of the “Many False Prophets” Jesus spoke of in His Word. It amazes me that you who claim to be a leader in the church doesn’t even use Bible verses to back up your claims when preaching that “Jesus is your Rest” when in fact there are a ton of verses that prove that too is a lie. That’s right, click that link as well because I made a video on that one as well.

As for helping your neighbor. We a Chrstians know it is perfectly acceptable to help people on Sabbath day. We don’t follow the Pharisees of old that claimed you cann heal on Sabbath or even help your fellowman. I pray you repent Frankin as there is precious little time left to get right with God.

      2. How could Jesus have gone to "Hell" when He was dead (the dead don't know anything – Ecclesiastes 9:5) and unlocked "Hell", when hell itself did/does not yet exist and plainly does not happen until Revelation 20 after the 1,000 years. If Jesus was busy during death, then He was not dead. And He could not resurrect from death if He was not dead but off somewhere on some secret mission. How do people come up with this stuff?

If you are referring to 1 Peter 3:18-20 and read all the verses instead of taking one out of context, it's about Christ preaching to the wicked people during the days of Noah.

And God Himself is the burning fire (Hebrews 12:29; Isaiah 33:15-16). God's people will live eternally with the eternal fire (God the Father) – not the wicked in hell. as they will be destroyed. Malachi 4:3 says the wicked will be ashes under the feet of the righteous, so how can they be alive in an eternal hell? Fire is associated with God and with His people, not with the wicked.

And of course on a Sabbath we would help a suffering animal or person or even call a tow truck to get our vehicle (modern-day ox) out of the ditch. The Pharisees gave Jesus a hard time because of their nitpicking rules about Sabbath-keeping, common sense had long gone out the window, and He was constantly trying to set them straight.

        Thanks.

        1. Sorry, I meant Isaiah 33:14-16, verse 14 is the target one I was referring to.

We are in the "falling away" of 2 Thessalonians 2:3, whereby all of mainstream Christianity has every truth of God backwards. You name it, they've got it wrong. The great Protestant Reformation got bogged down with creeds and people refusing to move forward with new truths that God revealed. God's people are being taught outright lies based on spiritualism and paganism. The man of sin aka pope Francis has done his job, so it won't be long until the Investigative Judgment comes to a close and we have all made our decisions for or against God's pure beautiful truth. It has to be happen soon; God's word has been battered long enough and He has been sorely misrepresented by people who claim to be His.

          1. Amen sister.. sad thing is most have no clue what time it is. And so it makes it that much easier for the enemy of souls to gather them into his camp conning them into thinking they are in God's camp.
