Truth Provided Broadcast 8-29-01

On last week's broadcast we discussed a few of the prophecies that prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Popes of the Roman Catholic church have indeed fulfilled the prophecies pertaining to Antichrist. As promised, I would like to continue on in this expose. For those that missed last weeks broadcast, I would like to quickly go over the prophecies discussed last week. I will repeat that address at the conclusion of this broadcast.

Without any further delay, let's go to prophecy number 1

The organization of Antichrist will be a church & state combined. Revelation 17:3, "So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns."

In Prophecy a Woman = Church (Jeremiah 6:2, "I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman.") The Lord further confirms this in Isaiah 51:16, when it is proclaimed, "...say unto Zion, Thou art my people."
In Prophecy a Beast = Nation (Daniel 7:23, "Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth...)

Fact = The Roman Catholic Vatican is a Church and a Nation at the same time.

The whore of Babylon will sit upon 7 hills. Revelation 17:9, "And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth."

Fact : Documented Roman Catholic source states "It is within the city of Rome, called The City on Seven Hills, that the entire area of Vatican State Proper is now confined" The Catholic Encyclopedia, p. 529.

ENCYCLOPÆDIA BRITANNICA Seven Hills of Rome group of hills on or about which the ancient city of Rome was built. The original city of Romulus was built upon Palatine Hill (Latin: Mons Palatinus). The other hills are the Capitoline, Quirinal, Viminal, Esquiline, Caelian, and Aventine (known respectively in Latin as the Mons Capitolinus, Mons Quirinalis, Mons Viminalis, Mons Esquilinus, Mons Caelius, and Mons Aventinus). -http://www.britannica.com/seo/s/seven-hills-of-rome/

The Beast will rise from the "sea" Revelation 13:1, "And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea,"

In prophecy Sea = "peoples, nations and tongues" ( Revelation 17:15, "And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.")

Fact: Roman Catholicism arose out of Western Europe with a multitude of "peoples, nations, and tongues" as parishoners. At present the Roman Catholic church sports the highest number of "peoples, nations and tongues" the world over.

Fact: Over 100 Nations have state representatives at the Vatican.

The four Beasts of Daniel will join as one in the last days with Antichrist. Daniel 7:2, "Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea."

Fact: Documented Roman Catholic source states: "In a certain respect, she (the papacy) has copied her organization from that of the Roman Empire, has preserved and made fruitful the philosophical intuitions of Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle, borrowed from both Barbarians and the Bysantine Roman Empire, but always remains herself, thoroughly digesting all elements drawn from external sources." -Andre Retif, The Catholic Spirit, trans by Dom Aldhelm Dean, Vol. 88 of the Twentieth Century Encyclopedia of Catholicism (New York, Hawthorne Books, 1959) p. 85

Fact: : Roman Catholic Author, Malachi Martin states in his book The Keys of this Blood: that the Pope, "...is protected by four governments" (p. 120)

Antichrist will be a strong Political power. Revelation 13:3, "...all the world wondered after the beast." Revelation 13:7, "... power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations." 

Fact: Roman Catholic Author, Malachi Martin states in his book The Keys of this Blood: the Pope "...is as determined to be world ruler as was Constantine in his day (p.49) He is protected by four governments (p. 120) He is the best-known person of the 20th century (p. 123) He is personal friends with the leaders of 91 countries (p. 490) People of the world seem to him ready for strong worldwide moral government with control (p. 160). Sixteen thousand journalists covered his American visit (p. 490)"

The Beast will control a man and his name will equal 666. Revelation 13:17,18 "And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."

Which ius actually 666

Fact: Documented Roman Catholic source states "The letters inscribed in the Pope's miter are these 'VICARIUS FILII DEI'. which is the Latin for 'VICAR OF THE SON OF GOD.' Catholics hold that the church, which is a visible society, must have a visible head...., as head of the church, was given the title, 'VICAR OF CHRIST'." Our Sunday Visitor, (Catholic Weekly) "Bureau of information," Huntington, Ind., April 18, 1915.

Fact: Roman Catholic Author Malachi Martin uses the exact same title for the Pope on pages 114 and 122 of his book, "The Keys of this Blood."

LATIN (NOTE: This is actually Roman Numerals. The Romans used this for their alphabet as well as their number system) So, all one needs do is spell Vicarius Filii Dei, and then add it up. There are actually eleven different titles pertaining to the office of the Pope. I have them all listen on my website. If you spell them and then add them up, they all = 666 individually. But for the sake of time I can only share this one with you. Spelling ....

The Roman Church of Antichrist would reign for 1260 years before being "wounded unto death." Revelation 13:5, "And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months."

Daniel also describes the Antichrist in the very same manner. In Daniel 7:25 we read, "And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time."
 

In the book, History of the Christian Church, Vol. 3, p. 327 we see that, "Vigilius...ascended the papal chair (538 A.D.) under the military protection of Belisarius."

Historical records reveal the papacy began its reign as a CHURCH AND STATE conglomorate in 538 AD upon Emperor Justinian's decree, and under the military protection of Belisarius. And the Bible says the beast will rule for EXACTLY 1260 years before receiving a mortal wound. Now it's just a matter of simple mathematics. It is also a grand method by which to see the Lord glorified. If the prophecy is correct, 1260 years after 538 AD the Beast must receive a mortal wound. If you add 1260 years to the beginning year for the Roman Catholic church, as a church and state, you will arrive in the year 1798 AD. So, according to the Bible we are told the first reign of Antichrist will last till the year 1798 . So, did it end in 1798, and how? First understand, according to the prophecy, we learn that,  "He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword..." Revelation 13:10.

The prophecy is telling us that the beast would be destroyed with the sword (sword = military) at the end of its reign of exactly 1260 years. Did this happen to Papal Rome in 1798...? YES IT DID! On February 10th Napoleon Bonaparte in that EXACT year 1798 A.D. sent his General Louis Alexandre Berthier, with his army into Rome, Italy. It is recorded in the Encyclopedia Britannica 1941 edition...  "In 1798 General Berthier made his entrance into Rome, abolished the papal government, and established a secular one." -

That's Exactly 42 prophetic months, or 1260 years, or a time, and times, and dividing a time after the Papacy began its powerful reign that the Pope "shall go into captivity" by the military! By the way, to further illustrate this to be fact, shortly after his captivity the Pope did in fact die, in exile. One year after his captivity in August of 1799 the Pope did in fact die.

Fact: Documented Roman Catholic source states  -"Half Europe thought... that with the Pope the Papacy was dead." -Joseph Rickaby "The Modern Papacy" Lectures on the History of Religion, Lecture 24, (London Catholic Truth Society, 1910), p.1 

This is where we left off last week. So, lets just continue on into the next colletion of prophetic facts proving the Popes of the Roman Catholic church truly are the Antichrist that is described in the Prophetic Words of the Holy Bible

This wound administered to the Beast will be healed: Revelation 13:3, "... his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast." 

Fact: HEADLINE = Mussolini and (Cardinal) Gasspari sign historic Roman pact. 
"The Roman question tonight was a thing of the past, and the Vatican was at peace with Italy... In affixing the autographs to the memorable document healing the wound of many years, extreme cordiality was displayed on both sides" -The San Francisco Chronicle. Feb. 11, 1929

Fact: HEADLINE = Pope Becomes Ruler Of A State Again:
Rome, June 7.--From 11 o' clock this morning there was another sovereign independent State in the world. At that time Premier Mussolini, as Italian Foreign Minister representing King Victor Emmanuel--the first Italian Premier ever to cross the threshold of the Vatican--exchanged with Cardinal Gasparri, Papal Secretary of State, representing Pope Pius XI, ratifications of the treaties signed at the Lateran Palace on Feb. 11. By that simple act the sovereign independent State of Vatican City came into existence. -New York Times July 7, 1929

The beast is one that "was", "is not" and "yet is". Revelation 17:8, "...behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is."

The Beast that was: The Roman church began in 538ad and continued until Napoleon sent in General Berthier in 1798ad
...and is not:: From 1798ad until the signing of the Lateran treaty in 1929 the Roman Church & state conglomorate was non-existent.
...yet is: From 1929 to present the Roman Church has been a church & state.

So there you have it. The beast that "was, and is not, and yet is" is clearly defined in prophecy as the Roman Catholic Vatican

The Beast will be a blasphemous beast: Revelation 13:1, "And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy." 

Fact: Blasphemy defined in the Bible = John 10:33, "The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God." -AND-   Mark 2:7, "Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?"

Fact: Documented Roman Catholic source states "The Pope is not only the representative of Jesus Christ, he is Jesus Christ himself, hidden under the veil of flesh." Catholic National July 1895.

Fact: Roman Catholic Pope states "We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty" ...Pope Leo XIII

Fact: Documented Roman Catholic source states "For thou art the shepherd, thou art the physician, thou art the director, thou art the husbandman, finally thou art another God on earth." Labbe and Cossart's "History of the Councils." Vol. XIV, col. 109

Fact: Documented Roman Catholic source states - The title "Lord God the Pope" is found within a gloss of Extravagantes of Pope John XXII, title 14, chapter 4

That is blasphemy to proclaim yourself God. But does the Catholic church also blaspheme and proclaim it can forgive sins as well?

Fact: The "confessional" of the Roman Catholic Church is indeed yet another identifiable feature exposing the Vatican as Antichrist's dwelling. They openly declare a MAN dressed as a priest has the power to FORGIVE YOUR SINS!

The beast will understand and do as Satan requests. Daniel 8:23, "And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up."

Two Eminent Churchmen Declare "Satanism Is Practiced in Vatican!"

Fact: Documented Roman Catholic source states- "In recent weeks, a firestorm has been raging in Italy. The controversy revolves around the statements Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo, who made formal allegations that satanic activity is taking place inside the Vatican. When questioned by the Italian press about the allegations, he said that he stood by them. The Archbishop chose the Fatima 2000 International Congress on World Peace held in Rome in November 1996 hosted by the Fatima Crusader magazine as a platform to first make these allegations public. (The article was posted by the "fatima.org" website)

To further illustrate this fact, I would like to read an excpert from the official Roman Catholic Jesuit Oath of the Vatican...

The official Jesuit Oath of Induction is also recorded in the Congressional Record of the U.S.A. (House Bill 1523, Contested election case of Eugene C. Bonniwell, against Thos. S. Butler, Feb. 15, 1913, pp. 3215-3216)

The beast will seek to change times and laws. Daniel 7:25, "And he shall...  think to change times and laws:."

Fact: Documented Roman Catholic source states- "The Pope has the power to change times, to abrogate laws, and to dispense with all things, even the precepts of Christ." "The Pope has the authority and often exercised it, to dispense with the command of Christ." Decretal, de Tranlatic Episcop. Cap. (The Pope can modify divine law.) Ferraris' Ecclesiastical Dictionary.

Fact: In the Catechism, of the Roman Catholic Church we see they removed the second commandment which forbids image worship, then divided the 10th commandment into two parts so that they still appear to have 10 commandments. The Roman Catholic Church, not Jesus Christ, changed the Sabbath given at creation week from Saturday, the 7th day to Sunday, the 1st day. And to top it off, the Roman Catholic church ADMITS that very fact. Just a few quotes regarding this are...

H.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons. states, “Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change (Saturday Sabbath to Sunday) was her act... And the act is a MARK of her ecclesiastical authority in religious things.”

The Catholic Record of London, Ontario Sept 1,1923. records, "Sunday is our MARK of authority. . .the church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact"

Rome will give its power to the Catholic church: Revelation 13:4, "And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast..."

Fact: Documented Roman Catholic source states Pope Pius IX, in his "Discorsi" (I., p. 253), said:  "The Caesar who now addresses you, and to whom alone are obedience and fidelity due."

Fact: [Speaking of the time, about 500 A.D., when the Roman Empire was crumbling to pieces:] "No, the [Catholic] Church will not descend into the tomb. It will survive the Empire . . . At length a second empire will arise, and of this empire the Pope will be the master--more then this, he will be the master of Europe. He will dictate his orders to kings who will obey them"--Andrea Lagarde, The Latin Church in the Middle Ages, 1915, p. vi.

Fact: This church is in fact called the ROMAN Catholic church

The church of Antichrist will be a MOTHER CHURCH: Revelation 17:5, "And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."

Fact: Documented Roman Catholic source states "Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her; --she could not have SUBSTITUTED the observance of Sunday the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday the seventh day, a change for which there is NO SCRIPTURAL AUTHORITY." -Rev. Stephan Keenan, A Doctrinal Catechism, "On the Obedience Due to the Church," chap. 2, p. 174. (Imprimatur, John Cardinal McCloskey, archbishop of New York.)

Fact: June 26, 2000 the Vatican became the MOTHER of the one world church.

Since the church of Antichrist is controlled by Satan, it will hate the Word of God. Mark 4:15 says, "... Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts."

The decree set forth in the year 1229 A.D. by the Council of Valencia... places Bible on The Index of Forbidden Books. The doctrine withholds "it is forbidden for laymen (common man) to read the Old and New Testaments. - We forbid them most severely to have the above books in the popular vernacular." "The lords of the districts shall carefully seek out the heretics in dwellings, hovels, and forests, and even their underground retreats shall be entirely wiped out." Council Tolosanum, Pope Gregory IX, Anno. Chr. 1229

The church Council of Tarragona ruled that: "No one may possess the books of the Old and New Testaments in the Romance language, and if anyone possesses them he must turn them over to the local bishop within eight days after the promulgation of this decree, so they may be burned." D. Lortsch, History of the Bible in France 1910, p.14.

The encyclical Quanta Cura Issued by Pope Pius IX, December 6, 1866 states, "Socialism, Communism, clandestine societies, Bible societies... pests of this sort must be destroyed by all means."

Antichrist will attack the children of the Creator. Revelation 13:7, "And it was given unto him to make war with the saints..."
Daniel 7:25, "And he shall wear out the saints of the most High..."

Fact: "For teaching faith contrary to the teaching of the Church of Rome, history records the martyrdom of more than 100 million people." Brief Bible Readings p. 16

Fact: Under the influence of Germanic customs and concepts, torture was little used from the 9th to the 12th centuries, but with the revival of Roman law the practice was reestablished in the 12th century... In 1252 (Pope) Innocent IV sabctioned the infliction of torture by the civil authorities upon heretics, and torture came to have a recognized place in the procedure of the inquisitional courts. -New Catholic Encyclopedia, arts. "Inquisition", "Auto-da-Fe'," and "Massacre of St Bartholomew's Day."

Fact: "The Catholic has some reason on his side when he calls for the temporal punishment of heretics, for he claims the true title of Christian for himself exclusively, and professes to be taught by the never-failing presence of the Spirit of God . . . It is not more 'morally' wrong to put a man to death for heresy than for murder, . . . [and] in many cases persecution for religious opinions is not only permissible, but highly advisable and necessary."--"The Lawfulness of Persecution," in The Rambler, 4, June, 1849, pp. 119, 126 ["The Rambler" was an English Roman Catholic journal published from 1848 to 1862].

Fact: March 12, 2000 Pope John Paul II admitted the Roman Catholic church did in fact kill well over 100 million Christians.

The Antichrist will create a Christian church doing Babylonian (Pagan) acts:  Revelation 17:5, "And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT..."

Fact: Documented Roman Catholic source states -Cardinal Newman admits in his book that; the "temples, incense, oil lamps, votive offerings, holy water, Holidays, and seasons of devotion, processions, blessings of the fields, sacerdotal vestments, the tonsure (of priests, munks and nuns), images, and statues... are all of PAGAN ORIGIN." -The Development of the Christian Religion Cardinal Newman p.359

Fact: On page 372 of this very same book it states, "Confiding then in the power of Christianity to resist the infection of evil, and to transmute the instruments and appendages of demon worship to an evangelical use... the rulers of the church from early times were prepared should occasion arise, to adopt, or imitate, or sanction the existing rites and customs of the populace." -Development of Christian Doctrine, Cardinal Newman. p. 372

Fact: Documented Roman Catholic source states -The penetration of the religion of Babylon became so general and well known that Rome was called the "New Babylon." -Faith of our fathers 1917 ed. Cardinal Gibbons, p. 106

Fact: Dr. Edwin Goodenough, Professor of Religion, Harvard University states in his book,  "The Church did everything it couldto stamp out such 'pagan' rites, but had to capitualet and allow the rites to continue with only the name of the local diety changed to some Christian saint's name." that's recorded in his book -Religious Tradition and Myth. p. 56, 57
 
Fact: Ellen White states, "...The world, cloaked with a form of righteousness, walked into the church. Now the work of corruption rapidly progressed. Paganism, while appearing to be vanquished, became the conqueror. Her spirit controlled the church. Her doctrines, ceremonies, and superstitions were incorporated into the faith and worship of the professed followers of Christ." That's from her book -The Great Controversy, p. 50

I have numerous facts concerning this prophecy that I cannot go into at this time. However, next week I would like to expound upon this particluar prophecy so as to enligthen the seeking hearts. I will answer the question, "is there really a 'Christian church' out there that truly embraces 'Babylonian rituals' as prophecy proclaims for our day? After sharing with you the facts contained in the Lord's prophecy as well as the facts contained in history, I do believe all doubt will be erased from your mind as to WHO the Whore of Babylon actually is.
