Let the diet reform be progressive. Let the people be taught how to prepare food without the use of milk or butter. Tell them that the time will soon come when there will be no safety in using eggs, milk, cream, or butter, because disease in animals is increasing in proportion to the increase of wickedness among men. I was shown the inhabitants of the earth in the
utmost confusion. There was war, bloodshed, want, privation, famine
and pestilence, in the land; and as these things were without, God's people
began to press together, and cast aside their little difficulties. Self-dignity
no longer controlled them. Deep humility took its place. Suffering, perplexity
and privation, caused reason to resume its throne, and the passionate and

In the night I was, I thought, in a room but not in my own house. I was in a city, where I knew not, and I heard expression after expression. I rose up quickly in bed, and saw from my window large balls of fire.
