Christian greetings everyone in these last days of life on Earth. On September 18, 2003 a prophetic event occurred that is about to reek havoc across Christendom. In Canada, a Bill has passed that allows the evil lifestyle of Homosexuality a protected position in today’s society. This new law will allow the homosexual that feels threatened by the Bible toting Christian, a legal avenue that will make some Christians think twice about sharing Jesus with them. They can now be arrested for using a Bible! If convicted, the Christian that is doing as God calls all of us to do, can be thrown behind bars for up to five years!

Jesus so accurately stated in Luke 21:12, "…they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake."

Canada's House of Commons passed a controversial bill yesterday opposed by religious believers and free-speech advocates who say it will criminalize public expression against homosexual behavior. The bill, passed 141-110, adds sexual orientation as a protected category in Canada's genocide and hate-crimes legislation, which carries a penalty of up to five years in prison.

"It's been a good week for equality in Canada," said the bill's sponsor, Svend Robinson, an openly homosexual member of Parliament. The vote came just a day after MPs narrowly defeated a nonbinding motion reaffirming marriage is between a man and woman only.

As WorldNetDaily reported, opponents fear if Robinson's bill becomes law, the Bible will be deemed "hate literature" under the criminal code in certain instances, as evidenced by the case of a Saskatchewan man fined by a provincial human-rights tribunal for taking out a newspaper ad with Scripture references to verses about homosexuality.

"I was not surprised it passed, because we have a morally bankrupt government which cannot see past its bizarre liberal ideology," Brian Rushfeldt, executive director of the Canada Family Action Coalition, told WorldNetDaily. The bill now goes to the Senate, which usually rubber stamps the House's legislation. Rushfeldt said he hopes the Senate will at least debate the issue and bring up "inherent dangers" in the bill not discussed in the House, but thinks that is not likely.

The legislation then is signed into law by the governor general, who represents the queen.

Robinson insisted an amendment protects religious expression, but opponents note recent court cases in which judges have favored homosexual rights when they clash with the rights of religious believers. Some members of Parliament called it a "dangerous" law that muzzles free speech, including Liberal Party member John McKay, who dubbed it a "chill bill." "Anybody who has views on homosexuality that differ from Svend Robinson's will be exposed rather dramatically to the joys of the Criminal Code," he said, according to the Edmonton Sun. Rushfeldt contends one of the law's dangers is the term "sexual orientation" is not defined. He noted the American Psychiatric Association lists 24 behaviors under "sexual orientation." They include polygamy, bestiality and pedophilia.

"So if in fact the term does include pedophilia, the law protects it [from 'hate speech']," he said. Robinson said fears that freedom of speech and religion will suffer are "a mask for homophobia for people who don't want to be honest about the real reason why they don't want to include sexual orientation in the law," according to the Toronto Globe and Mail. He said he regularly receives hateful e-mails, the Toronto paper said, and his Burnaby, B.C., office was trashed in 1988 when he became Canada's first openly homosexual member of Parliament.

What truly amazes me about this whole scenario is that it allows us to see how blind some people can actually become. As many of you know, for years I have been evangelizing Catholics and Protestants alike. For years they have stated that I HATE THEM because I use a Bible to warn them of their sin. We now see that this defense tactic is escalating to a higher more threatening level. Think about that! You love someone enough to tell them the TRUTH, and they instead see your words as hatred! Now THAT is strange! Still, it is something I have come to know quite well through experience. In fact, no matter what situation you’re in, whether you are trying to tell a loved one they are in danger because of their sin, or you are trying to tell a person standing as a “Pastor” he is in sin, the demons that control their flesh always uses the same old comeback. YOU HATE ME! or, YOU’RE JUDGING ME!

I gotta tell ya, no matter how many years I have been doing this, it’s still a strange reaction to see such blind comebacks! What they are truly saying all along is the Bible is HATE LITERATURE! I can’t complain of course because it’s not like we weren’t warned about this. Galatians 4:16 bluntly describes such reactions, "Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?"

Now I know some of you may think I’m going a bit overboard if I blame the Roman Church AGAIN for something. But before you chuck me off as some brain seeping, tinfoil wearing, alien worshiper that has set up a home base on the moon, see this article…

Hate Crimes Charges Sought Against Homosexual Protestors

(CNSNews.com) - The Catholic Action League of Massachusetts is seeking state and federal hate crimes charges against homosexual protestors who "disturbed" Sunday's Mass at Boston's Cathedral of the Holy Cross.

"This was a bigoted expression of contempt for Catholics," C.J. Doyle, executive director of the league, told CNSNews.com. Doyle referred to the protest as "a premeditated assault on the First Amendment religious freedom rights of Catholics" and "a very crude intimidation tactic intended to silence Catholic opposition to same-sex marriage.

"But it was also a crime," Doyle said.

The protest, staged by 11 members of QueerToday.com - a self-described Boston-based online community of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth and allies nationwide - was triggered by four Massachusetts bishops who called on priests Sunday to remind their parishioners of the Church's stance against same-sex marriages.

"If you're going to have hate crimes for one section of the population, you've got to have hate crimes for all segments of the population," Carr said. "Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander."

Now I know it’s similar but in a strange way a complete 180 of what’s actually happening in Canada. In Canada, it’s gays having laws that prevent people from preaching and or protesting them. And here in Massachusetts it’s a Catholic church seeking the same laws to stop gays from preaching and or protesting them. Either way, they’re both seeking the same end result. Can you see the cunning methods of Satan’s involvement here? In Canada, the Vatican doesn’t care if gays and lesbians are in the forefront because it’s not like Canada is considered a “player” in the world arena as far as a “world power” goes. The Vatican's global desires won't be threatened at all if their gay desires are paraded before the people here. So go for the law as it is, as blunt as it is. But here in the states where they have a more global voice, and are ridiculed and watch more closely, they need to gild the lily a bit and “act” as if they are against it. The Vatican needs to put on the persona of being the “moral” leader in the states because we are touted as a mostly "Christian" nation. Either way the same law will be passed! And free speech will be a thing of the past, ESPECIALLY when it comes to morality!

Anyone of us that have been moved by the Lord to try and help someone we care for have experienced these types of attacks before. I see attacks like this often. In fact, I'm going through something like this right now because I tried to help a man see he needs to stop sinning, step down as pastor and repent. No matter, it's not like my Heavenly Father can be caught off guard. They can only do that which the Lord allows, and for that I am praising my Father daily.

When Satan has a true hold on someone so deep in sin that they have become swine in the eyes of God, the words of Truth you are trying to share most definitely become a THREAT to them. They truly have a genuine hatred of the Truth because it proves them guilty beyond excuse. And as is always the case, they will do as Jesus said the swine will do. They will trample all over the Word of God you want to share and attack you! This Bill in Canada is just such an attack, however being played out on a much larger scale!

Keep your eyes on the world arena on this matter now. It’s common knowledge that all the countries of this world watch each other ever since the “global agenda” was bluntly made public by the Jesuit trained President, William Jefferson Clinton at the first WTO meet in New York some years back. The world is watching the masses in each country to see how they react to the bevy of unjust laws being passed. If it gets “outta hand,” and the trailblazing Government has to retract their new laws, all the rest that are watching will know better than to attempt their method of madness on their own soil. We saw this in the recent “smoking ban” that was retracted within 6 months after MANY bar owners responded in a negative way. (Not sure what state it was in. Sorry)

This method of “trying the waters” has always been a favored method of chipping away at the people’s patience. When the first suggestion of the governing officials goes over like a lead balloon, they try a different approach hoping for the same result. Or they will do as did Hitler did to get their laws accepted by the population. They “stage” a national emergency so as to get the people to WANT their laws put in place. I am not making any “claims” regarding the US Government’s role in 911. Why should I? There are already thousands of web sites doing that quite nicely already. Still, do you recall how the US Government wanted to place armed guards in our airports and on airplanes BEFORE 911? The people of this nation rebelled and bluntly stated NO WAY! Then directly after 911 we saw the people shouting WE WANT ARMED GUARDS! If they truly want a law passed, they truly know how to get the “sheeple” to let them.

Not so strangely enough, you can also see this in Roman Catholic doctrinal changes. Do some research on their dogmatic inventions over the years. See how they placed strange doctrines before the masses. Watch how Rome first “suggests” a doctrine to the people. If and when it is accepted by the people, it becomes binding doctrine some years later. If it never becomes accepted, or the people actually rebel, the church removes the doctrine to try a different approach.

What we see happening in Canada was bound to happen sooner or later. Prophecy must be fulfilled. It’s a no brainer to predict it’s arrival. Especially after Canada proved their demonic desires by allowing gay marriages not too long ago. And when the US Government saw how the people “lazed out” and didn’t react to their insane agenda as they should, we saw Texas and California pass laws that allowed for hundreds of pedophiles to be released from jail. And many of them were in fact Roman Catholic priests! Soon all the other states are going to adopt similar laws and thousands of child molesters will be freed to live next door to the people, and “preach” to them from Catholic pulpits. And as the laws suggest, “pedophilia” will also be placed under the protected wings of the government! The “man boy love” association (NAMBLA) is no doubt scrambling to the plate on this one folks! Mark my words! You will soon see all sorts of strange laws being lobbied before government officials that have benefits for those that seek such decadence as this. What Rome is doing by proxy in Canada is going to snowball to such an extent that MANY will come to realize just what Rome is all about! Their strange confidence seems to falsely assume that ALL people are evil and there are no more people with eyes that see what they’re doing.

Fact is, the vile stench of Vatican involvement is all over this Canadian hate bill. In last month’s Truth Provided Newsletter I believe I made it quite plain the Vat of sin in Rome has a MAJOR problem regarding the pedophile lawsuits piling up all over the world. Gay laws need to be passed if Rome is going to get out from under this mess. They need to get the people of this world to look upon the homosexual lifestyle as “not that bad,” so their lawsuits will either lower in dollar amount, or drop altogether. No one but Rome could move the political arena like this. To be able to “speak & cause” such decadent laws to be lobbied and passed is something of prophetic importance. The Vatican is indeed “universal” in today’s world! They can easily move any political agenda to their end by just a few pen strokes, threats, and murders. And like I said so many times before. If they can’t shmooze the population into their way of thinking, they WILL force them! This Canadian law is proof of that fact!

It’s obvious now that “some” people must have shared their disgust with certain gay laws passed in Canada recently. Therefore it was necessary that this “new” law was tabled, voted on, and passed. That way they can stop the complaints! So now, if you use Bible Scripture to try and prove to a Gay man or woman they are headed straight to hell. You will be liable for a prison term of up to five years! THAT is FORCING people to stop preaching! I ask you, will that quench the message in some preachers? Count on it! Especially when it’s common knowledge concerning the huge “gay” population you see in jails now-a-days. These weak preachers will fear they will be tortured in these jails if they end up in their for speaking out against gays. Force and fear has always been Rome’s method of evangelizing. They did it in the Inquisition, and they plan to do it again! And think on this. When they get you to “fear” them, they successfully thwart your own faith! For it is written the Lord has NOT given us a spirit of fear!

I wonder, how any Roman Catholics are now starting to see the light of day on this. If not, I suggest they do some historic research to see if what’s happening today has happened before. They need to see how all these laws being passed, and the Office of Inquisition being re-instated in February of 1991 by Pope John Paul II, is an exact duplicate to the time just prior to the Spanish Inquisition of Rome. Rome knows they will be in a place of absolute power soon. In fact they are now entertaining the idea that they will soon be a full member of the United Nations. The Vatican is already the controlling power of the United Religions Initiative since June 26, 2000. So it’s only feasible they stand as a full member in the U.N. as well. Couple that fact with these anti-Bible laws being passed, the Inquisitional office being re-opened, and the fact that Rome hates Bible thumpers, and you have what students of prophecy realize to be a real time of trouble for the Remnant.

No Impediments, Says Cardinal Sodano

ROME, SEPT. 21, 2003 (Zenit.org).- The Holy See would be prepared to become a full member of the United Nations, says the Vatican's secretary of state.

"According to international law, in theory, there are no impediments for the Holy See to become eventually a full member of the United Nations organizations," Cardinal Angelo Sodano said in an address Friday.

…Currently, the Holy See is a permanent observer of the United Nations, which allows it to address meetings called by that organization. But it has no voting power. Since 1978, the Holy See has established diplomatic relations with 82 countries, increasing the total number to 174.

…In carrying out the Church's "diplomatic" activity, its representatives pursue two objectives: the safeguarding and promotion of the legitimate good of the Church, and service to all peoples, regardless of their religious faith, he said.

… Cardinal Sodano explained the role of the Holy See on the international scene…

"Because of its religious nature, the Holy See always stresses the primacy of peace," he said. "Because of its universal nature, it follows with concern all the critical situations in the world. And, finally, because of its humanitarian nature, it insists that all proper measures be taken in favor of civil populations." ZE03092104

Soon the Vatican will have its global power finalized in all aspects. The wound will be totally healed! And it will get back to the work of killing Christians on a global scale for preaching the Truth Jesus has called us to proclaim. Will ALL of the Christians clam up? NO! They cannot contain that which burns from the heart. The Truth MUST be proclaimed because the Lord has given us His courage to proclaim it!

By the way… Did you notice in this article that Satan actually proclaimed his UN-HOLY Trinity before all? Roman Catholic Cardinal Sodano spoke of THREE areas of the Vatican’s “power” in this article…

2. It’s “universal” nature. (BTW… “Catholic” = Universal in English)

Can you SEE what’s up here? Remember.. Satan wants to be worshipped as a god. (See Isaiah 14) Is he seeking to mimic the Godhead here with a Roman Catholic Trinitarian spin?

1. The “religious” nature = the church of Rome acting in the Father's place. (They claim the post of “moral leader” today)

2. The “universal” nature = it’s ability to be in every nation on earth. (Common knowledge now)

3. The “human” nature = the Pope “is Jesus Christ himself in the flesh” (One of many actual quote’s of the Pope calling himself “God on earth”)

All we need to do is use some common sense here for a moment. The grand majority of all Government officials have already been polled and found to be Vatican sympathizers. Rome WILL be a Global governing power once again! The “174” U.N. countries that voted the Vatican’s full membership into the U.N. is proof of that fact.

Common sense… we all know the Vatican is the mainstay of Homosexuality since day one. Even AIDS can be backtracked and found to have occurred in the Roman Catholic priesthood first. (Click here for proof) If you think the smallest minority known to man, which is the gay/lesbian faction, is capable of getting so many major laws passed in recent days without some powerful help, you need to get your head out of the sand. A minority as small as this group can not experience such win falls as this! It MUST has a powerful friend in Government to get such major laws passed so quickly!

Rome is truly the ONLY one that will benefit by the passing of so many gay laws. Sure, some gay organizations will benefit to some extent so as to pull some of the onus off of Rome. But in no way can they even begin to compare with the global benefits the Vatican will reap once the gay lifestyle is a globally protected entity. And what’s the BIGGEST THREAT to the gay/lesbian agenda? THE WORD OF GOD! THAT is why they hate it, and THAT is why they attack it. They are truly no different than Rome. They hate it for the same reason. It shines a Light of TRUTH on their sinful ways.

Has the gay/lesbian movement proclaimed to enough people now that they ARE reprobates? Yes, I am sure it has. This new law will no doubt make many feel it’s a waste of time now to try and help them. They WANT their sin, they WANT their AIDS, they WANT their hell, and they want them so badly that they will get laws passed to force us to let them have it! Sadly, some will now say, “let them have it! I give up! It’s not worth going to jail for!”

If in fact the numerous child molestation lawsuits in Roman Catholicism doesn’t prove to some they are Bible haters that seek to pass laws that will gag Bible preachers exposing their sin. See the following documented quotes of the Vatican regarding the Bible itself! Their own mouths proclaim boldly they HATE JESUS CHRIST AND HIS WORD!

(Rev.) Dr. Cahill declared that "he would rather the Catholic should read the worst books of immorality than the Protestant Bible-that forgery of God's Word, that slander of Christ." - (Roman Catholic Tablet, December 17, 1853, p. 804).

The decree set forth in the year 1229 A.D. by the Council of Valencia... places Bible on The Index of Forbidden Books. The doctrine withholds "it is forbidden for laymen (common man) to read the Old and New Testaments. - We forbid them most severely to have the above books in the popular vernacular." "The lords of the districts shall carefully seek out the heretics in dwellings, hovels, and forests, and even their underground retreats shall be entirely wiped out." The church Council of Tarragona ruled that: "No one may possess the books of the Old and New Testaments in the Romance language, and if anyone possesses them he must turn them over to the local bishop within eight days after the promulgation of this decree, so they may be burned." Why such hate? Hebrews 4:12 states, "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

So… is the USA “thinking” about doing as Canada? Will the Bible be placed on the political chopping block soon? Ignoring for the moment the recent Ten Commandment situation in Alabama, and the numerous anti-Christian laws passed in the USA in the past few decades. Ignoring the illegality of praying in schools, and the laws enforced against Christians displaying “Christian” symbols on the “so called” birthday of Christ. Or the fact that you can’t pray over a loud speaker at sporting events unless it is an ecumenical prayer all religions can embrace. Is there an agenda that seeks to gag the Christian in America? Is the Roman Catholic ‘Bible hating’ agenda showing signs that they have infiltrated the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Skim through this small list of articles I dug up off the site regarding the hatred of Biblical jurisprudence in America. I have far more than this online now, but these should suffice. Make special notice of the way “force” is used in some instances regarding people that preach Scriptural Truth. The smell of Rome is all over the place on this one. Take heart though. Jesus IS coming back, and those that hate His Truth WILL be made quite. Also, there is one more article at the end of this Newsletter that literally reveals why all this is happening. It has to do with the WORLD SABBATH legislation. It’s a fairly old article from my “Attacking Sabbath” page that definitely bears repeating today, because it is part of this whole ball of wax!

WHO DECLARED OPEN SEASON ON PUBLIC RELIGIOUS SPEECH?

...I find the current hostility to religious evangelism profoundly disturbing. This includes attacks on the missionary activities of the much-maligned Southern Baptists. According to The Seattle Times ("Baptists' high chutzpah," editorial, Sept. 11), which condemned Baptist efforts to convert Jews, "The Baptists should learn to respect the values and privacy of others." A group of religious leaders in Chicago has gone further, recently urging Southern Baptists to cancel plans to send missionaries into their city this coming summer because seeking to convert others "could contribute to a climate conducive to hate crimes." Missionary activity a hate crime? Apparently yes, according to the new, politically correct view of religious liberty being offered up by guardians of a completely secular public arena. According to their view, people are free to believe in their own religion, but they shouldn't try to persuade anybody else of its truth, especially if the other person already has religious beliefs. Some of the greatest minds of Western civilization would have begged to differ. Figures such as Dante, Rembrandt, Bach, Newton, and Dostoyevsky explicitly proclaimed their religious faith in their works. One could even say they "proselytized" for their particular religious views. Yet, civilization was enriched, not destroyed by their advocacy of religious ideas. What would those who propose cleansing religion from our conversations have us discuss instead? Pokemon and Beanie Babies? Activist makes headway in quest to make Christian bible 'hate-free'

PHILADELPHIA (JTA) -- Irvin Borowsky now sees some light at the end of the tunnel in his 18-year campaign to modify New Testament language "excessively faulting all Jews for the suffering and execution of Jesus."

...His goals included modifying the King James version of the Bible in favor of "hate-free" texts, making the same inroads with the sources of the children's Bibles, urging hotels to replace millions of Bibles with more acceptable versions and eventually impacting on sermons discussing Jesus' life and death.

...Only the American Bible Society among 20 major publishers has been cooperative until now, but a number of children's Bible publishers have been quicker to make recommended changes, Borowsky reports.

"I see major breakthroughs coming within the next five years," Borowsky says, reminding that the "hateful anti-Judiac passages" he contests have been circulating for nearly 20 centuries.

"History will record that the scholars and the president of the American Bible Society who published the first Bible that contained no anti-Judaism in nearly 2,000 years were the first to record accurately the historical events of the first century," he concluded. Pastor Beaten After Blunt Eulogy
Reverend Calls Deceased 'Drunkard And A Fornicator'

LOXLEY, Ala. -- Authorities in Loxley, Ala., are investigating the alleged beating of a preacher by funeral mourners who didn't like his blunt eulogy. Glynis Bethel told The Associated Press that her husband -- the Rev. Orlando Bethel -- was attacked during a June 14 funeral and dragged out of the church. That's because Bethel told mourners the deceased was in Hell and that they were headed the same way. The dead man was Glynis Bethel's uncle. Orlando Bethel referred to him as a "drunkard and a fornicator." Glynis Bethel, who's also a preacher, says "the fornicators didn't like what he said so they got up and beat him." She says police didn't make any arrests, so she and her husband -- who may have a broken nose -- are taking out warrants. -The Associated Press.

Christianity Harmful to Animals, Says Animal Rights Godfather

Singer, author of the book "Animal Liberation" and a professor of bioethics at Princeton University's Center for Human Values, criticized American Christianity for its fundamentalist strain that takes the Bible too "literally" and promotes "speciesism." He defined speciesism as the belief that being a member of a certain species "makes you superior to any other being that is not a member of that species."

Pastor Fined $1,000 for Rebuking Lewd Woman

Yesterday in Dane County Circuit Court, Judge Paul Higginbotham fined Pastor Ralph Ovadal $1,000 for rebuking a lewd-acting woman on the parking lot of the state-run Mazomanie nude beach and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to her. The Judge also added court costs to the fine. Pastor Ovadal's "victim," Nancy J. Erickson, had asked the court to fine Pastor Ovadal the maximum possible ($1,000), put him in jail for 90 days, and then on probation. The Judge declined the probation, saying it would be too expensive to the State and would no doubt do nothing to change Pastor Ovadal's behavior anyway. Both the D.A. and the Judge stated that they had considered putting Pastor Ovadal in jail, but they are afraid it would make him a "martyr."

...A pro-family activist says a bill that would make opposition to homosexuality a crime is facing a November 30 deadline or it will die in committee. Diane Gramley is president of the American Family Association of Northwestern Pennsylvania. She says a so-called "hate crimes" bill, which had been making its way through the PA state house, has been sent back to committee. The bill would invoke further penalties against anyone accused of committing so-called hate crimes against homosexuals. Gramley says the problem with that type of legislation is that it penalizes thought. She says the text of the bill, which says "with malicious intention towards the actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender or gender identity," amounts to "thought police." Gramley says the agenda of pro-homosexual groups is to silence anyone who has anything negative to say about the homosexual lifestyle. Rome has been attacking the Bible for centuries. And now that she has gained control of the Lamb Horned Beast. (USA) It won’t be long before the mark of this beast is enforced. Even the non-believer has to realize something’s up now. For them to pass laws that say it is ILLEGAL to use a Bible has to be opening some eyes as we speak. Even the hard core Atheist has to be thinking something's strange now.

We need to keep this Roman Catholic Antichristian agenda before the eyes of those seeking Truth now more than ever now. Many of us truly know what the mark of the beast is. And we also know that laws like this MUST be passed for that mark to be able to be enforced. So tell everyone you know. Mention this at bus stops, in the line while shopping, in elevators, all over the place! Try this approach… “Did you hear about them making it illegal to use a Bible in Canada? I wonder, do you think that’s a sign of the end?” Try this method for “small talk” now. It works! I have used this approach for years to get complete strangers in conversations about prophecy! They will actually ask YOU a question when you approach in this manner! And then it’s your opportunity to share the Three Angels Message. And they will feel obligated to listen BECAUSE THEY ASKED YOU a question!

NOTICE: Do NOT! I repeat do NOT have literature in your hand ready to give them. Have it in your pocket, or out of their sight! If they think you are passing out tracts they will feel pressured and annoyed and walk off. After about 5 minutes or so you will gain a friend by compelling conversation and then you can hand them a tract as you leave. You may even go so far as to tell them you want to keep in touch, pull out the tract, and actually place your phone number on it for them to call you. (If you feel it's safe to do so) You would be surprised how well this works!

On my “Attacking Sabbath” page I have a LOT of articles proving this prophetic agenda is being fulfilled before our very eyes. I would like to bring to your attention one article in particular from that page itself that without a doubt is speaking of something we all know is on the near horizon. Also keep in mind how they conveniently used Roman Catholic madman, Adolph Hitler’s tactics for mass approval by using the “terrorist” angle to make their World Sabbath agenda seem necessary. Since that horrible day in September when people drove planes into buildings in the name of God, the Rev. Rod Reinhart has been looking for ways that U.S. residents can work to eliminate religious misunderstandings.

His top suggestion this week:

Join others around the globe Saturday in celebrating the third annual World Sabbath for Religious Reconciliation. It's a holiday that Reinhart, who works for the Episcopal Diocese of Detroit, founded in 1999.

Since then, the number of celebrants has grown as word of the World Sabbath spreads. People worldwide have visited www.worldsabbath.com, the Web site that Reinhart has loaded with a template for anyone to hold a World Sabbath service, including a suggested opening prayer and a liturgy.

Reinhart's event is one of two this week with interfaith themes. Mirroring a prayer meeting with world religious leaders planned by Pope John Paul II in Assisi, Italy, on Thursday, Cardinal Adam Maida of the Detroit Archdiocese will host an interreligious service at noon in downtown Detroit.

To mark the World Sabbath locally, about 500 people are expected to gather at 7 p.m. Saturday at Christ Church Cranbrook, 470 Church Road, Bloomfield Hills. Scheduled speakers include local leaders representing Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, Muslim and Buddhist communities.

"We'll be praying for the victims of Sept. 11, giving a Christian, Jewish and Muslim response, and focusing on what we're going to do next to move toward healing," Reinhart said Monday.

The service also will feature a group of Sudanese drummers from St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Lansing, plus singing by the choirs of Greater New Mt. Moriah Church in Detroit and All Saints Episcopal Church in Pontiac.

The Thursday interfaith service planned by the Archdiocese of Detroit also will include representatives of many denominations. The service is free and open to the public at SS. Peter and Paul Jesuit Church at St. Antoine and East Jefferson.

In a letter to parishes, Maida said "fervent and faithful prayer brought down communism" and prayer will help bring world peace.

The celebration of two interfaith services in metro Detroit in one week doesn't surprise Reinhart. With large and vibrant faith communities, the area is a natural place for religious tolerance to take root, he said.

"We've made a great start," he said. "Wait and see. In a few years, the World Sabbath will be as big as Kwanzaa."

Soon the un-holy trinity in the Vatican will be a “full member” of the United Nations with all the clout and power that comes from that position. Also keep in mind that this is a nation that is also a CHURCH that controls ALL the churches of the World since being elected the leader of the one world church (URI) on June 26, 2000. True, some churches have not “officially” joined as of yet, but that is short in coming. And if they won't join, they will be "taken care of." Will the mark of the beast come to be their main order of business globally? Do I need to ask that question!? Fact is, you no longer need to be a theologian to figure that one out. WE ARE LIVING IT!

Hello and God bless. I am asking if you have any articles on the ceremonial laws. Right now I am reading part of Exodus, all of Leviticus, and Numbers.

Many Christians today really don't have the love and respect they should have for Christ for what he has done. Plenty read about the sacrifices and know they represented Christ, but for me I want to know what each sacrifice and it's process represents and why was done in that fashion or order. I've read your article on the sanctuary and enjoyed what was written. I was hoping you might have anything on the ceremonial laws as well.

I have read through much of your site's pages and I have to say that nothing has moved me more in quite some time. Growing up Catholic, but even today, not truly subscribing to any particular denomination of Christianity, this was of great interest to me. My faith is important to me. I wish to please the Lord Jesus Christ and to be prepared for his Great Return. (I currently attend a church of Protestant denomination with my wife). Your site, at one time, would have insulted and offended me. This was not the case as I read through the information and watched the Flash presentations.
